ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the use of hip arthroscopy, a less invasive surgical technique, for treating femoral head fractures, which are breaks in the top part of the thigh bone often caused by serious injuries. Traditionally, these fractures are treated with more extensive surgeries, but the goal of this trial is to see if hip arthroscopy can provide a safer option that allows for quicker recovery and fewer complications.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to have a specific type of fracture called a Pipkin 1 fracture. However, those with related pelvic fractures, serious health issues that would make surgery risky, or who seek treatment more than two weeks after their injury cannot join. If eligible, participants can expect to receive care through this innovative method and will be closely monitored throughout the process to understand its effectiveness and safety. This trial is currently looking for participants of all genders, aged between 65 and 88 years old.
