ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how two specific blood tests, called the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and C-reactive protein (CRP), can help predict outcomes for patients who have had a heart attack known as STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction). These tests are being examined because they are relatively inexpensive and could provide important information about a patient's heart health, especially in low-income areas where more advanced tests may not be available. Researchers believe that using these markers could help doctors better assess cardiovascular risks and improve patient care.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have either an increase in certain heart-related blood markers or specific changes on an ECG, indicating they have had a STEMI. However, people with other heart conditions, infections, autoimmune diseases, or certain chronic illnesses may not be eligible. Participants will have their blood tested for NLR and CRP, and they can expect to contribute to important research that could help improve heart attack management in the future.
