ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new treatment for people who experience neck pain due to excessive smartphone use. Researchers are testing a method called phonophoresis, which helps deliver medication directly to the painful area using sound waves. The treatment uses a special material called chitosan, which is safe and made from natural sources. Chitosan has properties that can help reduce inflammation and pain, making it a promising option for those suffering from neck discomfort linked to smartphone addiction.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 16 and 18 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) of 26.58 kg/m², and have used a smartphone for at least 2 hours a day for over a year. You should also be experiencing neck pain related to your smartphone use. However, if you have had any injuries to your head or neck, certain health conditions, or if your BMI is over 25 kg/m², you may not be eligible. Participants will receive treatment and may experience relief from their neck pain, helping them manage the discomfort caused by their smartphone habits.
