ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific treatment using traditional Chinese medicine hot packs can help patients who experience nerve damage from chemotherapy, a condition known as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). CIPN can cause painful symptoms that affect daily activities and overall quality of life. The trial aims to see if these hot packs can improve nerve health in patients receiving a combination of two chemotherapy drugs, platinum and paclitaxel.
To participate, you need to be an adult patient expected to survive with cancer for more than a year and starting chemotherapy with platinum and paclitaxel for the first time. You should be willing to join the study and sign a consent form. However, if you have certain conditions such as allergies to these medications or specific nerve issues, you might not be eligible. If you join, you'll learn how to use the hot packs at home, making it easier to manage your symptoms without frequent hospital visits. This approach is designed to be simple, with the hope of improving your comfort and wellbeing during your treatment.
