ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how motivational interviewing can help women overcome procrastination when it comes to getting important health screenings, specifically cervical cancer screenings like pap smears. Many women delay these screenings, which are crucial for early detection of potential health issues. The goal of the trial is to see if having conversations designed to motivate and encourage women can improve their participation in these screening programs.
To participate in this study, women need to be between the ages of 30 and 65, have never had a cervical cancer screening before, and have not undergone a hysterectomy. They should also be able to read and volunteer to take part. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive motivational interviews to encourage them to get screened, while the other group will not. Throughout the study, researchers will gather information to understand how these conversations impact women’s decisions about their health screenings. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into improving women’s health behaviors.
