ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how manual therapy and pelvic floor exercises can help women who have been experiencing constipation. The researchers want to find out if adding manual therapy—hands-on techniques applied to the pelvic floor muscles—makes a difference in relieving constipation compared to just doing pelvic floor exercises alone.
To participate in this study, women between the ages of 65 and 74 who have had constipation in the past six months can apply. Participants should be able to use smartphones and social media platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram, communicate well, and be literate, as these skills will help them engage with the study. Women who are currently pregnant, have had recent surgery, or have certain health conditions will not be eligible. Those chosen for the trial will practice pelvic floor exercises and receive manual therapy, and they will help researchers understand how these treatments work together to improve constipation symptoms.
