ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) can help patients who have recently been diagnosed with respiratory illnesses like pneumonia, sinusitis, or bronchitis. The goal is to find out if adding OMT to standard treatments, such as medications, can help patients feel better faster and recover more quickly from their symptoms.
To participate in this study, you must be between the ages of 65 and 100 and have recently received a diagnosis of an upper respiratory illness during a visit to the Geisinger 65-Forward Buckhorn clinic in Pennsylvania. However, if you are currently undergoing cancer treatment, have a broken bone, or have liver disease, you will not be eligible to join. If you choose to participate, you can expect to receive both standard care and OMT, and researchers will monitor your progress to see how well the combined approach works.
