ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) in healthy adults. HMOs are natural compounds found in breast milk that may help support gut health and the immune system. Researchers want to learn how well HMOs are absorbed by the body and how they might provide benefits beyond the gut, such as influencing immune responses and brain development. By understanding these effects, the study aims to uncover how HMOs can be beneficial not just for infants but for adults as well.
To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 40 years old, a non-smoker, and have a normal weight (with a body mass index, or BMI, between 18.5 and 25.0). Unfortunately, those with certain health conditions, such as diabetes, chronic diseases, or those taking regular supplements, will not be eligible to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to provide information about your health and lifestyle, and undergo assessments to help researchers learn more about how HMOs work in the body. This study is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a great opportunity to contribute to important health research!
