ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called Primary Aldosteronism (PA), which involves an excess of certain hormones that can affect blood pressure and other body functions. The researchers are using a special method called 24-hour microdialysis to closely examine hormone levels in patients suspected of having PA. Alongside hormone monitoring, they will also track things like blood pressure, sleep patterns, activity levels, and food intake to gather comprehensive information about the participants' health. The goal is to create a new, easy-to-use test that can diagnose PA more quickly and accurately.
To participate in the study, individuals must be aged between 18 and 70 and either suspected of having PA or already diagnosed with it based on specific medical guidelines. Important to note is that those who are pregnant, have adrenal failure, or are taking certain medications might not be eligible. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to important research that could improve how PA is diagnosed and managed in the future.
