Internet Delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Emotion Regulation Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new online therapy program designed to help women with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), a condition that causes severe emotional and physical symptoms before their period starts. The goal is to see if this internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) can effectively teach women skills to manage their emotions and improve their relationships, potentially offering a helpful alternative to traditional medications.

To participate in the trial, women must have a confirmed diagnosis of PMDD and a regular menstrual cycle. They should also be able to read and understand Swedish and have access to the internet. Participants will complete the online therapy program and share their experiences. It's important to note that women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical or mental health conditions may not be eligible for this study. This research aims to provide more effective treatment options for those struggling with PMDD, as current medications don’t work for everyone.
