ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of binaural sound—special sounds designed to be heard in both ears—to see if it can help reduce the amount of a medication called remifentanil needed during general anesthesia, particularly when another medication called remimazolam is used. This research is important for patients undergoing procedures for conditions like prostate cancer or uterine myomas, as it may lead to safer and more effective anesthesia practices.
To participate in the trial, patients must be between 20 and 60 years old, scheduled for general anesthesia, and in good health according to specific guidelines. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as hearing disabilities, recent use of opioids or sedatives, or issues with the heart or liver, will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to receive the usual anesthesia care while also listening to binaural sounds during your procedure, and the effects of this combination will be closely monitored.
