ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a dietary supplement called Geranylgeraniol to see if it can help patients with Mevalonate Kinase Deficiency, also known as HyperIgD syndrome. This condition is caused by a genetic issue that affects the body's immune system and can lead to inflammation. The trial aims to determine if Geranylgeraniol can safely improve the levels of certain important substances in the body that are lacking due to this condition.

The trial is currently looking for participants who are at least 12 years old and have been genetically confirmed to have Mevalonate Kinase Deficiency. They should be in generally good health aside from their condition and have normal liver function. Unfortunately, children younger than 12 cannot participate. Those who join the study can expect to take the supplement and be monitored for its effects. This research could provide valuable insights and potentially lead to better treatment options for people living with this condition.
