ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special type of support called "positive psychotherapy" can help caregivers of patients with colon cancer. The goal is to see if this support can improve caregivers' overall well-being, help them feel more balanced in life, and boost their confidence in caring for their loved ones. Caregivers will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will receive five sessions of this therapy over five weeks, while the other group will receive a shorter, one-time session. After the program, researchers will compare the two groups to see if those who received the therapy report better life balance, psychological well-being, and self-confidence.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, live in Istanbul, and have completed primary school. They should not have any serious psychiatric conditions or communication difficulties. Caregivers who fully attend the sessions and complete all tests will contribute valuable information to the study. After the program, caregivers in the control group will also receive the therapy, ensuring everyone gets support.
