ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether a special automatic massage device can help reduce labor pain for pregnant women and improve their overall experience during labor. The study will involve 112 women who are between 38 and 40 weeks pregnant, having a single baby in the correct position, and are at a point in labor where their cervix is dilated between 5 to 6 centimeters. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the massage or not during the active phase of labor. The researchers will track various aspects of labor, including pain levels, the progress of labor, and how satisfied the midwives are with the care they provide.
To be eligible for the study, women must be willing to participate and meet certain criteria, such as not having any pregnancy complications or acute health issues. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to be monitored closely, and their experiences will be evaluated to see how effective the massage device is. While the trial is not yet recruiting, it aims to provide valuable insights into improving labor experiences for mothers and healthcare providers alike.
