ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two different approaches—mindfulness-based self-compassion training and a technique called vagal nerve stimulation—can help improve heart rate variability, psychological resilience, and sleep quality in people who have experienced the trauma of an earthquake. Heart rate variability is how well your heart responds to stress, psychological resilience is about how well you can bounce back from difficult experiences, and sleep quality refers to how well you sleep.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult aged 18 to 35 who has lived through an earthquake and moved to Istanbul. You should also be seeking support through psychological first aid resources. Unfortunately, if you have a diagnosed mental health condition, you won’t be eligible to join. Participants will be divided into two groups to receive different interventions, and their progress will be measured before and after the treatment to see how these methods help improve their well-being. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into helping those affected by natural disasters.
