ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different factors relate to skin aging, specifically focusing on something called leucocyte telomere length, which is a measure that may indicate the aging process at a cellular level. The researchers want to understand the signs of skin aging using clinical exams and a specific scoring system called the Dermoscopic Photoaging Scale (DPAS). They will look at participants’ skin conditions and collect blood samples to analyze telomere length.
The trial is open to both men and women aged 29-31 and 59-61 who show signs of aging. Participants will have their skin examined by a dermatologist, photographed from different angles, and undergo a blood draw of about 10 milliliters. It’s important to note that individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain diseases or genetic problems cannot participate. This study aims to gain insights that could improve our understanding of skin aging, which might ultimately lead to better treatments in the future.
