ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether giving antibiotics after a tooth extraction can help patients heal better and reduce the risk of infections. It will involve 152 patients aged 18 to 50 who are scheduled to have a tooth extracted. Participants will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will receive antibiotics after their procedure, while the other group will not. The study will look at how well each group heals, how much pain they experience, and if there are any side effects from the antibiotics.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be healthy adults who are going to have a tooth extracted and can provide written consent. However, people with certain health conditions, such as severe infections or those who are pregnant, will not be able to participate. The trial will ensure participant safety and ethical standards by getting consent and monitoring health closely throughout the study. This research may help dentists understand the best practices for post-extraction care in the future.
