ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the use of virtual reality hypnosis as a way to manage pain during the early stages of labor. The study aims to provide an alternative to traditional pain relief methods, which can sometimes have side effects for both mothers and babies. By using virtual reality hypnosis, the researchers hope to help women feel less pain during labor and reduce the need for medication like morphine, which can affect the fetus.
To participate in this trial, women must be over 18 years old, able to speak and understand French, and currently in the early phase of labor. They should also be hospitalized and have a low-risk pregnancy. Participants can expect to engage in virtual reality hypnosis sessions designed to help manage their pain. This study is important because it seeks to offer a more natural and supportive approach to childbirth, responding to the increasing demand for non-drug pain management options.
