ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a specific issue in children who have just been diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis, a condition that causes an abnormal curve in the spine. Researchers want to understand whether these children have a delay in their melatonin levels, which could affect their sleep patterns and overall health. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 6 to 15 who have scoliosis and are still growing, as indicated by certain physical markers.
If your child is eligible and decides to participate, they will provide saliva samples for melatonin testing and undergo assessments to measure the curvature of their spine. Participants will also complete questionnaires about their sleep habits and daily routines, both at the beginning and during follow-up visits. This trial aims to gather important information that could help improve understanding and treatment for children with scoliosis and related sleep issues.
