ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, which is a common type of curved spine that often appears during the teenage years. Researchers want to understand how the brain and body work together in people with this condition compared to those who don’t have scoliosis. They will look at things like how well participants can sense their body position, how they understand their left and right sides, and how they imagine movements. The study also aims to explore how these factors relate to posture, body perception, and quality of life for individuals with scoliosis.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 19 years old and have been diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis that has a curvature of more than 10 degrees. Participants will complete questionnaires and undergo physical examinations. Healthy individuals who are matched in age, height, and weight will also be included for comparison. However, if you have a history of spine surgery, certain injuries, or specific health conditions, you may not be eligible. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how scoliosis affects everyday life and body awareness.
