ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how to better manage urinary tract infections (UTIs) in patients who have a ureteral stent, a tube that helps urine flow from the kidneys to the bladder. The study compares patients treated for UTIs before and after new guidelines were introduced in 2020 to see if following these guidelines reduces the chances of getting another UTI. By understanding this, researchers hope to improve treatment and care for patients with ureteral stents.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to have a ureteral catheter in place and a confirmed or suspected urinary tract infection. The study is open to all genders and various age groups. If you join, you can expect close monitoring and support from the research team as they gather information on your condition. It's important to note that people who have had specific types of urinary diversion or have had multiple infections during the study period won't be able to participate. Overall, this trial aims to enhance the way we handle UTIs in patients with ureteral stents, potentially leading to better health outcomes.
