ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on improving the diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a common condition that affects many people, particularly in China. GERD can cause uncomfortable symptoms like heartburn and bloating, and it can seriously impact patients' quality of life. Currently, diagnosing GERD often relies on a lengthy test called 24-hour reflux monitoring, which many patients find difficult to accept. This trial aims to develop new technology using deep learning (a type of advanced computer program) to better identify and analyze cells from the esophagus, which could lead to quicker and more accurate diagnoses.

To participate in this trial, individuals need to be between 18 and 85 years old and have symptoms like persistent reflux or heartburn. Participants will sign consent forms and work with the research team throughout the study. However, people with certain medical conditions or a history of specific esophageal issues may not be eligible. Overall, the goal is to create a more efficient and patient-friendly way to diagnose GERD, ultimately helping many people get the care they need more quickly.
