ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how health-seeking behavior training, which uses motivational interviewing techniques, can help migrant women aged 65 and older who have chronic illnesses. The goal is to see if this training improves their ability to manage their health, encourages them to seek medical help when needed, and reduces feelings of anxiety. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive the training and the other will not. The training will take place over four weeks, with individual sessions lasting about 30-35 minutes conducted four days a week.
To be eligible for this study, women must be at least 65 years old, have a chronic illness, and have been living in Turkey for at least six months. They should also be able to communicate effectively and be willing to participate in the study. However, women with certain cognitive impairments or severe mental health issues will not be included. This trial aims to empower these women by providing them with the tools and support they need to take charge of their health.
