ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the working conditions for healthcare providers in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, which is a specialized area where doctors perform procedures to treat heart conditions. The study aims to understand how safe and comfortable these healthcare workers are while using traditional protective gear compared to a new mobile protection system. Researchers want to find out how long these workers are in positions that may put them at risk for injuries. To do this, participants will wear special sensors that track their movements and muscle activity during procedures, and they will also fill out surveys about their comfort levels.
If you work in the cardiac catheterization lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital, you might be eligible to participate. This includes interventional cardiologists, trainees, nurses, and other staff involved in procedures. Participants should be physically able and willing to wear the sensors needed for the study. Those who are not actively working in the lab or who cannot wear the sensors will not be included. If you decide to join, you will help researchers gather important information that could lead to better working conditions and reduced risk of injury for healthcare providers in this field.
