ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring ways to help prevent falls in older adults who live in the community. Researchers want to see how effective three different types of health education are in reducing the risk of falls: learning about fall prevention, getting exercise education, and understanding how to make homes safer. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of eight groups, which means they will either receive one type of education or not, helping the researchers figure out which approach works best.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 60 and 80 years old, live independently in their homes, and be able to walk 50 meters without help. It’s important that they expect to stay in their current home for at least the next year. This study will take place in various sub-districts in Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, and is not yet recruiting participants. Those who join can expect to learn valuable information that could help them stay safer and reduce their risk of falling.
