ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how adding a medication called clonidine to propofol sedation affects patients undergoing a colonoscopy. The main goal is to see if using clonidine makes the sedation safer, increases patient satisfaction, and improves the overall efficiency of the procedure.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and in generally good health. This means you should be classified as ASA physical status I or II, which indicates a low risk for anesthesia complications. However, if you have had a colonoscopy recently, had surgery on your colon, or have serious heart issues, you wouldn't qualify for this study. If you join, you can expect to receive either propofol alone or propofol with clonidine during your colonoscopy, and your experiences will help researchers understand the benefits of this combination.
