ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the effects of a natural substance called thymoquinone, found in black seed oil, on people with mild psoriasis vulgaris, a common skin condition that causes red, scaly patches. Previous research suggested that N. sativa oil, which contains thymoquinone, can help improve psoriasis symptoms when used as both a cream and a pill. In this trial, researchers want to see if applying thymoquinone directly to the skin can provide relief.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old and have a clinical diagnosis of mild psoriasis vulgaris. It's important that you haven't used any systemic treatments (medications that affect the whole body) or phototherapy (light therapy) for at least three months, and you should not have used topical treatments (creams or ointments) for at least four weeks before joining. Unfortunately, if your psoriasis covers more than 10% of your body, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have other skin or health issues, you won't be able to participate. If you qualify, you can expect to apply the study treatment and monitor how it affects your skin condition. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, so keep an eye out for updates if you're interested!
