ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how a meal that includes carob, a nutritious fruit from the Mediterranean, affects the body after eating, particularly in relation to blood sugar, insulin levels, and feelings of hunger. Carob is rich in fiber and other healthy compounds, which might help improve appetite control and metabolic health. The researchers believe that incorporating carob into a typical breakfast could be a simple way to help people manage their weight and overall health better.
The study is looking for healthy male adults aged 18 to 62 who have a normal weight. To participate, individuals should not have certain health conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or gastrointestinal issues, and they should not be taking weight loss supplements. Participants will enjoy a carob-enhanced meal and then their reactions in terms of hunger and blood sugar will be monitored. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how carob can be used in a healthy diet and may contribute to efforts to improve nutrition for everyone.
