ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, taking place at the Cleveland Dental Institute, is studying how people feel pain, particularly tooth pain, using two different methods: a simple survey where patients rate their pain on a scale from 0 to 10, and a technique that measures brain activity called EEG. The goal is to better understand how pain is perceived in patients with specific dental conditions.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be men or women aged 20 to 60 who have a healthy tooth (specifically tooth #8) without any prior trauma or serious dental issues. Participants will not be able to join if they have certain dental diseases or conditions that could affect their healing. Those who take part in the study can expect to share their pain experiences through the rating scale and have their brain activity monitored, all while ensuring their comfort and safety. This research aims to improve the understanding of pain perception, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
