ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help correct a dental issue called Class II malocclusion, which is when the upper teeth are positioned too far forward compared to the lower teeth. The researchers are comparing two types of specially designed appliances, one placed on the upper jawbone (infrazygomatic) and the other on the roof of the mouth (palatal), to see which one works better for moving the teeth back into a better position.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 13 and 18 years old with all your permanent teeth, except for the third molars (the back teeth often called wisdom teeth). You should have a Class II malocclusion, meaning your upper molars are positioned behind your lower molars. If you have certain health conditions or habits that could affect the treatment, or if you've had previous orthodontic work done, you may not be eligible for this study. Participants will receive either of the two types of appliances and will be monitored throughout the treatment to see how well they work. This study is currently looking for volunteers, so if you think this could help you or someone you know, it might be worth considering!
