ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new robotic surgery system called the Hugo Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS) platform, which is designed to help surgeons perform colorectal surgeries more effectively. The goal is to see if this innovative technology is safe and effective for treating conditions like colon and rectal cancer, diverticulosis, and other colorectal issues. The trial is currently looking for participants aged 18 and older who are scheduled for planned colorectal surgeries using this new robotic system.
To be eligible for the study, participants should not have had emergency surgeries or prior laparoscopic (minimally invasive) or open surgeries for their condition. Individuals with severe cognitive issues that prevent them from understanding or agreeing to participate, as well as those in advanced cancer stages, are also excluded. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo surgery using the Hugo robotic system, and researchers will monitor your recovery and outcomes to better understand how this technology can improve surgical care in the future.
