ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the benefits of skin-to-skin contact between mothers and their newborns right after birth. Skin-to-skin contact, also known as Kangaroo Care, involves placing the baby on the mother’s chest, which helps with bonding and can improve the baby’s health. The trial aims to follow guidelines that emphasize the importance of this practice to enhance the well-being of newborns and support successful breastfeeding.
To participate in this study, mothers must be giving birth vaginally to a single, healthy baby at 37 weeks of pregnancy or more. They should be first-time mothers and not have any high-risk pregnancy conditions. If you join the study, you can expect to receive support for skin-to-skin contact right after delivery, and health professionals will monitor both you and your baby closely to ensure everything goes smoothly. This trial aims to strengthen care practices for new mothers and their babies, ultimately helping to reduce newborn health risks.
