ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a program called the E-motional Training Program (ET®) designed to help people improve their social skills, particularly those facing challenges due to substance use and mental health issues, referred to as dual pathology. The program focuses on areas like recognizing emotions and understanding how others think and feel, which can be difficult for some individuals dealing with addiction and related disorders. Researchers want to see how effective this online training is in helping these individuals in both clinical settings and prisons, as well as identify any biological markers that could predict who might benefit most from the program.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of dual pathology made by a healthcare professional. They should also be capable of giving consent and understanding the study information. However, those with certain medical conditions, severe cognitive impairments, or who are currently experiencing acute psychiatric issues may not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in the online training program and contribute to research that aims to improve treatment approaches for those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges. This study emphasizes the importance of gender perspectives and aims to enhance the training program using advanced technology and data analysis.
