ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well older patients accept using virtual reality (VR) during surgery when they receive spinal anesthesia, a type of numbing that affects only the lower part of the body. The aim is to see if VR can make the surgical experience more comfortable and less stressful for elderly patients.
To participate in this study, patients need to be at least 65 years old and scheduled for a planned surgery that requires spinal anesthesia. However, those with certain conditions, like hearing or vision problems, a history of seizures, or severe mental impairment, won't be eligible to join. If they do take part, they can expect to use VR technology during their surgery, which may help them feel more relaxed and engaged while the procedure is happening. This trial is still in the planning stages and has not started recruiting participants yet.
