ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different ways to help people who are experiencing cognitive difficulties after having COVID-19, often referred to as long COVID. The researchers want to see if a special type of brain training, combined with a technique called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), can improve thinking and memory problems. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: one will receive the brain training along with the active tDCS treatment, while the other will receive the brain training with a placebo (or sham) treatment that doesn’t have any active effect.
To join the study, participants should be females aged 18 to 65 who have been experiencing cognitive issues after their COVID-19 infection, based on specific guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO). However, individuals with serious mental health conditions or significant brain injuries prior to having COVID-19 won’t be eligible. If you decide to participate, you can expect to engage in some cognitive training exercises and receive either the real or sham stimulation as part of the trial. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how to better manage cognitive symptoms following a COVID-19 infection.
