ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how people think about a type of therapy called cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for treating gambling problems. Researchers want to understand if people have wrong ideas about how helpful CBT really is, and whether offering a small cash reward can encourage more people to try this therapy. The study will also look at how effective CBT is for those struggling with gambling disorders.
To participate in this trial, you must be an English-speaking resident of Colorado and between the ages of 76 and 70. If you join, you'll complete two surveys over four months. If you're in the treatment group, you may receive a small monetary incentive for participating in CBT, which will be free for everyone in the study. There will also be a control group that has access to CBT without the cash incentive. This trial has not started recruiting participants yet, but it aims to help improve understanding and treatment of gambling addiction.
