ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Liver-gut Axis Study, is focused on understanding how certain gut bacteria might be related to various liver diseases, such as autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and liver abscesses. Researchers want to learn more about how these bacteria could influence the progression of liver diseases. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 19 and older who have been diagnosed with one of these conditions, as well as their family members who live with them.
If you choose to participate, you can expect to share information about your health and possibly provide samples for analysis. This study aims to deepen our understanding of liver diseases and could help improve care for patients in the future. It's important to note that only adults aged 19 and older can take part, and you must agree to participate. If you have questions or consider joining, you can reach out to the team at Chungnam National University Hospital for more information.
