ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how blood flows in the veins of patients who may have deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a condition where blood clots form in the deep veins, usually in the legs. Researchers will use a special device that fills with air, along with a cuff that gently squeezes the leg, to check for changes in blood flow. These devices are still being tested and have not yet been approved by the FDA for general use.
To be part of this study, participants must be between 65 and 74 years old and have had a venous ultrasound within the last three days that checked for DVT in one or both legs. However, those who have injuries, casts, or other conditions that make it hard to apply the cuff on their leg will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo these assessments while receiving care related to DVT. It's a chance to contribute to research that may help improve how we understand and treat this condition in the future.
