ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how cognitive exercises, combined with diabetes education, can help improve thinking skills and overall quality of life for older adults with type 2 diabetes. Specifically, it focuses on individuals aged 65 and older who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least one year and can use a smartphone or computer. The study aims to see if these exercises can help participants manage their diabetes better and feel less anxious or depressed.
Eligible participants will be randomly placed into one of three groups: one group will receive both cognitive exercises and diabetes education through videos, another group will receive diabetes education only, and the last group will get standard diabetes education without the cognitive exercises. Throughout the study, which lasts for six months, participants will complete assessments to measure changes in their thinking abilities, diabetes control, and overall well-being. This research could provide valuable insights into how engaging the mind can benefit health in older adults with diabetes.
