ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different schedules of taking oral iron supplements can help improve anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Anemia is a condition where you don’t have enough red blood cells, which can make you feel tired and weak. The trial will compare three different ways of taking iron: every other day, once a day, and three times a day, to see which method works best for boosting iron levels and treating anemia in CKD patients.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be adults over 18 years old and have CKD stages 2, 3, or 4. However, individuals with more severe CKD (stage 5), certain blood disorders, liver diseases, autoimmune conditions, cancer, recent blood transfusions, pregnancy, or specific kidney diseases are not eligible. If you join the trial, you will be closely monitored to see how well the different iron dosing regimens help your anemia. It's important to know that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be a waiting period before it begins.
