ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new, non-invasive device designed to check for anemia in pregnant women without the need for a blood draw. Anemia, which means having low levels of hemoglobin (the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen), is quite common during pregnancy and can lead to complications during delivery and after childbirth. The goal of this study is to see how well the readings from this new device compare to the traditional method of testing through blood samples, especially since the current testing schedule might miss some women who develop anemia in between those appointments.
To participate in the trial, women must be at least 18 years old, currently pregnant or recently postpartum, and scheduled for a blood draw for clinical reasons. There are no specific exclusions, so if you meet these criteria, you could be eligible. Participants will use the new device to check their hemoglobin levels, allowing researchers to assess its accuracy compared to the usual blood tests. This study aims to improve how anemia is detected in pregnant women, potentially leading to quicker diagnosis and treatment.
