ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a phenomenon called the "office white coat effect tail," which is when a person's blood pressure (BP) drops by 10 mmHg or more during a doctor's visit. This drop can sometimes make it hard to understand if a person truly has high blood pressure, which is important for assessing heart health. Researchers want to see if this effect is consistent over time and if it can help predict risks for heart disease and strokes, especially since it seems to affect women more than men.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be adults who are not taking any blood pressure medications and do not have any heart-related health issues. People with very high blood pressure or certain medical histories will not be able to join. If someone participates, they will be monitored during their doctor's visit to measure blood pressure changes. This study aims to help improve how doctors assess and manage blood pressure in their patients, ultimately leading to better heart health outcomes.
