ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how playing games or using a stress ball can help reduce anxiety and improve vital signs in patients preparing for total knee replacement surgery. There are three groups in the study: one will play games, another will use a stress ball, and a third group will not have any special activities. The goal is to see if these activities make patients feel less anxious before their surgery.
To participate, you need to be over 18 years old and scheduled for a knee replacement surgery. You should also pass a simple mental test and be able to understand Turkish. If you have any serious health issues, psychological disorders, or are taking certain medications, you may not be eligible for the study. Participants will fill out surveys to measure their anxiety levels and vital signs, and they can expect to engage in either game activities or stress ball use before their surgery. This trial is currently recruiting patients, and your involvement could help improve care for others facing similar surgeries.
