ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment for atrophic acne scars, which are the pitted scars that can remain after severe acne. The researchers want to see if a special treatment called "stromal vascular fraction enriched PRP" (SVF enriched PRP) is more effective than standard treatments for these scars. In the study, 30 volunteers will have one side of their face treated with the new method and the other side with a comparison treatment. There are three different groups in the trial, and each group will experience different combinations of the treatments.
To participate in this trial, candidates must be between 65 and 74 years old and have atrophic acne scars that haven't been treated before. It's important that they have a healthy blood profile, meaning no issues like anemia or bleeding disorders. Unfortunately, pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as those with bleeding tendencies or elderly individuals, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to have their scars treated and will help researchers learn more about the effectiveness of this new approach, contributing to future acne scar treatments.
