ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Family Check-Up 4 Health (FCU4Health), is looking into a new way to help children and their families reduce the risk of heart disease. The study will take place in primary care settings, like your family doctor’s office, and will use technology to make the program easier to follow. Researchers want to see if this approach can help families adopt healthier habits, improve parenting skills, and lower the body mass index (BMI) of children, which can lead to better heart health for kids in the long run.
To participate in this trial, children must be at least 2 years old and have a BMI that is at or above the 85th percentile for their age and gender. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, so you won’t be able to join just yet. If you are eligible and decide to participate when the trial begins, you can expect to learn more about healthy lifestyle choices and receive support tailored to your family’s needs. This study aims to make a meaningful impact on public health by addressing heart health issues in children and their families.
