ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called Palliate, is focused on improving support for family members who care for loved ones at the end of life. The study aims to evaluate how well a new nurse-led program works in helping these caregivers administer necessary medications at home. This program includes training and helpful materials designed to make it easier and safer for family caregivers to provide care during this challenging time. The intervention has already been tested successfully in parts of London and is now being studied further to ensure its effectiveness and acceptability.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be 18 years or older and able to communicate in English. Unfortunately, those under 18 or who cannot communicate in English will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in a process that supports them in caring for their loved ones, with guidance from trained nurses. As the trial is not yet recruiting, further details on how to join will be provided when it begins.
