ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain heart-related proteins, called cardiac biomarkers, behave in patients with end-stage renal disease who are undergoing dialysis treatment. The researchers want to understand how these biomarkers change during two types of dialysis: high-flux hemodialysis and hemodiafiltration. They will look at how these proteins are present in the blood before, during, and after dialysis, which can provide important information about heart health in these patients.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 18 years old and be a stable patient receiving either hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. If you are receiving hemodialysis, you should have a specific type of access for your treatment and be able to maintain a certain blood flow rate. During the study, participants will have their blood tested to measure the levels of these biomarkers at different times, helping researchers gather valuable insights into heart health during dialysis. It's important to note that the study is not yet recruiting participants, so it may take some time before it starts.
