ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the quality of sleep affects recovery after heart surgery. Good sleep is very important for healing, but many patients experience poor sleep while in the hospital, especially in the intensive care unit (ICU). The researchers want to understand how lack of sleep can lead to problems like confusion, anxiety, and other complications after surgery.
To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult over 18 years old who is scheduled for elective heart surgery. However, if you are currently taking sleep medications, have certain psychological disorders, or have been on a ventilator for more than 12 hours, you may not be eligible. If you join the study, you will be monitored for your sleep quality and how it affects your recovery. This research aims to improve care for future heart surgery patients by highlighting the importance of sleep during recovery.
