ClinConnect Summary

The PURI-PRO trial is studying how an online program can help women manage urinary incontinence (UI), a condition that causes accidental urine leakage and affects many women during and after menopause. This 8-week program uses a combination of exercises to strengthen pelvic floor muscles, teaches healthy bladder habits, and encourages participants to develop positive beliefs and coping strategies about their condition. The goal is to reduce the severity of UI symptoms and improve overall quality of life.

To participate in the trial, women aged 40 to 65 who experience UI and have internet access can apply. However, those who are pregnant, have had recent surgery related to UI, or have certain medical conditions will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in a supportive online environment where they will learn practical skills to manage their symptoms and enhance their daily life. This trial is important because it aims to address a common but often overlooked issue, helping women feel more empowered and connected.
