ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new type of custom implant designed for patients who need surgery to replace a failed hip implant due to severe bone damage. The trial will involve adults who need a special implant created just for them, based on detailed scans of their bones. These patients will have their overall health assessed and will be monitored before and after surgery to gather information on their recovery, any complications, and how well the implant is functioning over time.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, have a pre-operative CT scan, and require a custom-made acetabular implant for non-cancer-related reasons. Those with other types of implants or those whose surgeries are related to cancer will not be included. Throughout the trial, participants can expect regular check-ups at 1, 3, 12, 24, and 36 months after their surgery to evaluate their hip function, satisfaction with the implant, and any issues that may arise. This study aims to improve treatment options for patients suffering from hip problems and to better understand how well these personalized implants work.
